I have just completed my First year on the Professional Embroidery Tutor Programme with The Royal School of Needlework at Hampton Court Palace. I am very lucky to have the opportunity learning traditional hand embroidery skills, teaching methods and the social and historical contexts of this fascinating creative craft.
This year we have studied Jacobean Crewelwork, Canvas, Goldwork, Silk-Shading, Blackwork and Appliqué.

I have exhibited my canvas stitches piece 'Blue Trees' inspired by walking along McLeod Creek trail in Park City, Utah, as well as teaching at the The Stitch Festival in London and Hampton Court Palace.

I look forward to sharing my progress with you. Pop back to look at my blog and portfolio. You can follow me on Instagram too #whatkatiestitched.
