In September 2024  I was selected to study with The Royal School of Needlework on their new Professional Embroidery Tutor Programme at Hampton Court Palace. I feel very lucky to have the opportunity to learn traditional hand embroidery skills, teaching methods and the social and historical contexts of this fascinating creative craft. 

 

Last Autumn we studied Jacobean Crewelwork and Canvas Stitches creating our own designs. This term we are working on Goldwork and Silk-Shading. After Easter, we work on Appliqué and Blackwork.​

This Spring, I will be exhibiting my canvas stitches piece 'Blue Trees' inspired by walking along McLeod Creek trail in Park City, Utah, as well as teaching at the The Stitch Festival in London.
